    For the sake of plot anything about Ghostface and the events of the first 2 Scream movies are fair game.

    She also has never really gotten over the death of Randy Meeks (during Scream 2).

    Sidney has had nasty nightmares while onboard about Ghostface and some of the murders. She had also gone into hiding during the period between Scream 2 and Scream 3. So she has plenty of trust issues among other things to deal with. She is also scared to open up, having only told one person onboard about Ghostface so far (Sirius Black back during the hallucination plot) and only spilled tiny bits to boot. She hides behind the mask of a drama student, due to having been taking drama classes during the second film.

    Brief History: After his father has an affair with Sidney Prescott's very promiscuous mother, Maureen (causing his own mother to basically abandon him), a very disturbed Billy Loomis goes insane and, accompanied by his friend Stu Macher murders Maureen before framing her new love interest, Cotton Weary. One year later, Billy begins a relationship with the blissfully unaware Sidney, and constantly tries tries to convince her to have sex with him, which she does near the end of the film. On the anniversary of their first murder, Billy and Stu plan a lengthy killing spree inspired by all of their favorite slasher films, butchering all of Sidney's friends dressing in a black robe and ghost mask.

    After being hounded by fame junkie reporter Gale Weathers and witnessing several very gory deaths (one of them being her best friend), Sidney finally comes face to face with the unmasked killers who have been terrorizing her friends, Billy and Stu. In a blood-soaked final showdown, Sidney survives, and with some help from Gale, kills Billy and Stu. She leaves the house as police arrive, finally safe from the deranged killers. At least for now.

    Two years after the events of the 1st Scream movie, similar killings begin around Sidney once again. Horrified by her son Billy's death, Mrs. Loomis posing as a journalist, stalks Sidney and begins another killing spree just as she enters college. She seeks help from the hopelessly deranged film buff Mickey who is also in the same major as Randy Meeks, one of her close friends.

    When asked her motive by Sidney, she replies that it's "just good old-fashioned revenge" for killing Billy. Preceding this, Mickey rants about how he will blame his part in the massacre on the influence of violent films. In the end, Sidney kills Mrs Loomis and, with help from Gale, kills Mickey. Once again surviving the horrific events that seem to follow her. But this time with a deeper price: the loss of Randy (one of her close friends).

    In the aftermath of those events all Sidney wants is a little peace but things are about to crash down once again...

    The stalker mess has been the bulk of my problems given my recent past, but toss in having to move into a new suite and explain why I rigged up a few bobby traps is even worse!

    But maybe the suite fairy was kind and gave me someone nice to room with, just know her name is Lena. Maybe this time there be less to explain and maybe just maybe I'll start coming out of my shell a little bit more. The frat party was a tiny start on that front, ok the makeshift punk rock outfit got a fair amount of stares for one thing. I'm just not sure what the next step in that process should be, but my counselor is loving the fact I have a normal job.

    Speaking of work its the most normal part of my life right now. My days are filled with answering the phone, filing, running messages and doing the dinner run. But to be honest I like that and if they want me to stay on in the fall I would happily stay on. The ironic part of all this: I set up a small tv at my desk and I'm watching Dance Machine as I type this entry (things are kinda slow tonight). Yes I did attempt to dance and I think I cracked up half the squad room.

    Anyone passing through around 9 or so? Just would feel better walking back to campus with some company if nobody minds?

    Peeping tom....

    Those words just bring back memories I shoved under the surface, Ghostface and three or so years of hell. I don't talk about that period much but a couple of people at the police station know, had to explain why I'm not too found of the night shift after all. But after finding that email after work on Friday just triggered me all over again. The shrink said it might be another year before I'm back to where I was before losing my mom (for those that don't know the case Ghostface was also behind her murder).

    But I wish I could talk to someone that gets all this, the station is one thing since I'm either behind a desk or filing. I like the job since its low key and its me trying to get my life back, but sometimes I do wonder. Even tried to write about the case for Ms.Turner's class, on my quest to be normal I chose a class before going to the station.

    But I'm going to set up a few old booby traps (note to self: warn Caleb about those) if only to make myself feel better about all this.

    I think I'll call Dewey....

    I'm still living in the shadow of Ghostface and its been nearly 7 months since the last time...

    Ok I should explain at least a little, I left Califorina to start over and KSU made perfect sense. Close enough for plane trips home now and then but far enough from the past at the same time. But its like the past keeps finding ways to roar right back into the front of my brain. This job is just stage one of the road back to the Sidney I was pre you know who. At the station I'm just Sid the desk clerk and you know what? I'm ok with that, at least I'm not Sid target of the month. Already met the bulk of the cops and so far so interesting and so far today it was more direction giving, message taking, file running and trying to understand a semi nutty copy machine.

    But I know there's something missing, just can't exactly explain what that is?

    Jim, Caleb and Hermione: I'm stopping by the market once I'm off shift, need anything picked up? Just drop me a comment or a text.

    But for now its back to life and back to waging war with the copy machine and maybe seeing what the deal is with the coffee maker (I'm a Starbucks sort of girl but people love black coffee it seems).

    In just a couple of weeks since moving here I've started my summer job and met some great people in the process.

    First the new job: I'm working as a desk/file clerk as the police station. Small way of getting my life back post Ghostface and that's where I met Sam. He was looking for the office that gives business licenses and got lost. Cool guy and reminds me so much of Randy, hard to explain but I felt it somehow. Some good natured joking around insured and it was nice to be able to smile a bit more.

    In just my first day I had an old lady looking for a huge yard sale, one little kid trying to find the ice cream parlor, Sam and a girl that sounded very French getting a license to work as a tutor. Met a couple of the younger cops and so far so good on the job end of things. But this is my sort of routine: not living on the run and in fear. But that's still a work in progress to be honest.

    Also met one of my 3 suitemates since we just got a newcomer to the room, that would be Jim. Tiny bit older than me but seems like a cool enough guy, always has his IPod with him and that gave him major points in my mind. Plus I'm just Sidney, not the girl who lived through Ghostface. To be honest I like that, maybe leaving Califorina was the smart move after all.

    Caleb and Hermione: Just poke your head into my side of the room since I still need to meet both of you :)

    Only taking one class this summer since I'm working and its online. But otherwise come visit the suite, a girl does need to meet more people beyond her suitemates and the office.

    Just wish I could put more of the past behind me... Ghostface haunts my dreams and I only hope I don't have a nightmare in front of Jim, Caleb or Hermione...

    I have not kept anything like this since high school or the first round of Ghostface. But people seem to be big on these things so I guess this is a follow the mob moment.

    If you don't know the Ghostface case then I'm Sidney Prescott and I'll be a junior come fall term. I'll be an Anthropology major but with a focus in urban legends. I know why urban legends? Its because I somehow want to put everything I've gone through over the last couple of years to good use and have the whole experience serve some actual good in the end. As for my summer plans I'm taking a couple of core classes and working part time at the police station as a file clerk. Anyone else work there?

    Ghostface is also offically history but to be honest I kinda have a feeling its followed me here. A case that big does not go away on its own after all. So if there are questions I'll answer anything within reason. But why KSU? I just wanted to start over in a new place and away from the darkness that was my recent past. Lost too many people from my mom to Randy, he was one of my best friends. But at least my dad, Dewey and Gale are just a phone call or IM away. But they want me to stay in counseling through the summer, not too thrilled about that....

    Caleb Danvers & Jim Halpert are my suitemates and to be honest I've not met them just yet. But I hope they are nice guys and ok about sharing the place with a girl. But if any of the neighbors want to pop in I'll warn of the cords and boxes, still getting unpacked after all.

    Sidney is taken about 6 months post the end of Scream 3. After the events of the series she decides to leave Califorina for a new start in Kansas. She has basically been a shut in for the 6 months before the move but on suggestion of Dewey, some intense counseling and finding an urban legends program at KSU her decision was made. She's also going to be spending the summer working at the police station as a file clerk, a nice low key summer job. She's also looking into a couple of low key summer classes as well.

    She's going to stay in counseling at least for the short term, of course Sidney being Sidney it'll drive her nuts but with the case being high profile she won't have much of a choice early on. But for now she's just wanting to start over after the worst few years of her life.
